USA (Feb 03, 2023) – ‘Extinct Dream’ by Michael Baxter is now available in its Kindle edition and a hard paperback version in Amazon and other online book stores. During the early 1980s, it was written as an epic poem and appealed to readers who like a mix of fantasy and fiction with reality.
Baxter is quite an author in writing about adventures and the bizarre. The book is fantastical and is about the adventure of two modern couples facing mythical, magical, mystical, and fairy tale challenges that begins with a vacation in West Africa. They encounter numerous other supernatural people and figures that seem to leap off the pages during their crazy adventures.
For readers, this book is like being awake while they are dreaming. It is a book with two distinct parts. The first includes a nostalgic look back at reading during childhood and in general. In many ways, the book is a reflection of Baxter’s upbringing. After fleeing Poland in 1939, his father served in the Polish Air Force during World War II and the Royal Air Force from that point on until 1968. He also spent one and a half years flying in the Berlin Air Lift and survived until he was 101. In her later years, Baxter’s mother also worked as an artist. From 1969 to 1974, including a year he spent teaching, Baxter attended Art College. Then, from 1983 to 1986, he held four solo art exhibitions in London. He spent 43 years in London and is now a retired man living by the sea.
In his fantastical book, author Michael Baxter delves deep into the fascinating world of imagination that almost everyone loves to get lost in during childhood. Since he graduated from high school in 1967, Michael Baxter has pursued a creative career. However, he always found time to write poetry, paint, and make a living. After retiring in 2015, he released the handwritten 1982 epic poem “Extinct Dream” in its first edition. The Regency Press Edition and Audiobook was his late 2022 release.
