Importance of Hajj in Quran and Hadith

Hajj has been given too much importance in Quran and Hadith as it is the fifth main pillar of Islam and highly rewarding. Allah and His Prophet told the importance of Hajj and ordered to perform it. If someone is unable to perform Hajj, he should perform Umrah through cheap Umrah packages and should become the guest of Allah. Performer of Hajj and Umrah earns blessings of Allah.

Importance of Hajj in Quran:

Hajj has been considered as the most important worship for Muslims and Allah ordered in different verses of Holy Quran to perform it. Connotations of the saying of Allah Almighty are given below:
Allah says about Holy Kabah in Quran that the really the first House of worship is at Makkah that helps earn the blessings of Allah and is also the source of guidance for human beings and Jinns. Whosoever enters the clear sign; Maqam-e-Ibrahim will be secure. This saying of Allah in Quran makes us able to understand that Kabah is the House of worship and Maqam e Ibrahim provides security.

Hajj as a duty for those who can afford:

Connotation of the saying of Allah Almighty in Holy Quran is that:
Hajj is Fardh for all those Muslims who are able to afford its expenses and those who do not perform it are the disbelievers of Allah and Allah does not need any favor from Jinns or human beings. Allah wants to say that those who have the power to afford it but do not perform it, will taste punishment. Allah will never show mercy to them.

Order of Allah to Holy Prophet:

Allah Almighty ordered Holy Prophet in Holy Quran to ask all the Muslims to perform Hajj. The connotation of saying is given below:
And ask people to perform Hajj. They will come to perform Hajj on foot and on their camels from long distance and from every corner.
In this saying Allah says that Muslims from all the corners of world belonging to different areas and different countries should perform Hajj. The location is same for everyone that is House of Allah (Holy Kabah).

Importance of Hajj in Hadith:

Holy Prophet also gave too much importance to Hajj as it is compulsory for Muslims (those who are financially and physically able to perform it). He gave importance to accepted Hajj.
Nothing can be compared with accepted Hajj and the reward of accepted Hajj is only heaven. From this saying of Holy Prophet we come to know that reward of Hajj is Jannah. A person should try his best to perform Hajj to enter Jannah.

Hadith about forgiveness of sins:

Holy Prophet said that the person who performs Hajj, becomes free from sins like that day when he was born. It is also the benefit of performing Hajj. Holy Prophet also said that reward of an accepted Hajj is not less than Jannah. One of his saying depicts that Hajj provides rid from the sins of previous life.
