Organizational culture at Amazon

Amazon Software solution undertakes its functions within-firm grounds of a firm culture. It effectively transmits business around transparency of operations placing great emphasis on its core values (Telangana, 2015). Amazon holds on the belief that every business should operate under moral responsibilities towards its stakeholders, business partners and other individuals interested in conducting business with the organization. That is inclusive of its customers, vendors, local communities and the society as a whole. The organization stipulates a culture that places a critical value on employees and customer relationships. The company strives to be at par with desired criteria working which include staff dressing code, customer rapport and employee/employer relations and hence teamwork (Telangana, 2015).  Amazon’s approach to the customers and general citizens gets based on values of openness, integrity, and generosity. The company endeavors to develop business with the outside world holding on principles of responsibility and social commitments. The company does not keep aloof its responsibilities towards the communities in the vicinity of its operations and hence citizens remain part of its identity. In conclusion, Amazon Software solution struggles to build and maintain the trust of its stakeholders, empower the employees, and promote all angles of engagement with customers, partners, and shareholders (Telangana, 2015).

Implementing projects in such an environment would call for a careful plan. Due to the fact that the current culture originated from the senior management who are still the enforcers of its continuity, the first step would entail ensuring that the project falls in line with the values and mandate of the organization (Lunenburg, 2011). For instance, the project should be a top up of the services offered or a complement to feel in the gaps identified. Also, I would recommend that the project plan and proposal should pass through the management for approval (Lunenburg, 2011).
